Keman

Keman means violin in Turkish language,
and Serikli Mehmet Amca knows well as to play it.
With Uğur Önür playing the kamancheh,

(both of them could play some Steve Reich's score!)

(little short) amazing moment of intense pleasure, for all of us.

 Marcel Duchamp, New York 1961

Surrogate cities

"Surrogate cities" is a composition in seven parts of Heiner Goebbels, for two solo voices and large orchestra.
In his orchestra cycle, Heiner Goebbels sketches the portrait of an imaginary metropolis.
It takes its impulses from texts, drawings, and structures of city maps, using sounds from Berlin and New York, Tokyo and St. Petersburg.

With Heiner Goebbels' comments, excerpts of the piece in three parts,
the 2005's version at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, opening the Music Biennale,
with the two amazing voices of Jocelyn B.Smith and the unforgetable virtuosic David Moss.
